II’ve been installing Mitsubishi systems since 2014 — more than 500 of them. Before VisionAiry I ran a larger HVAC company, grew it past $2 million in revenue, and sold it in 2020. VisionAiry is intentionally different — I run it myself, take on a limited number of projects each year, and every system I design gets my full attention from first conversation to final commissioning. MY APPROACH
Why I Do It This Way
I’ve seen what happens when mini split systems get rushed — wrong sizing, sloppy line sets, units that short-cycle and leave a house cool but clammy. I got into Mitsubishi specifically because the product is engineered to perform, but only if the installation matches that standard. I do a proper load calculation on every project. I design the system around your home’s actual layout, not a generic template. That takes more time. It costs more. And it’s worth it.
HOW I WORK
I Lead With the Home, Not the Equipment
Most contractors lead with the equipment. I lead with the home. Before I ever spec a system I want to know how the house is laid out, where the problem areas are, how the existing structure is going to affect airflow. The equipment matters — Mitsubishi makes the best variable-speed product on the market, and in a hot, humid climate like the Upstate, variable-speed is what separates a system that dehumidifies from one that just makes the air cold. But the installation is what determines whether it actually performs. That’s where most installs fall short, and that’s where I focus.

I’m a Mitsubishi Electric Elite Diamond Contractor — the highest installer designation Mitsubishi offers. That’s not a marketing badge. It means factory training, ongoing certification, and accountability to installation standards most contractors never bother with. It also means I have direct access to Mitsubishi technical support when a complex project needs it. In over 500 Mitsubishi installations I haven’t had a callback I couldn’t resolve.

David went over and above to keep us comfortable, resolved some historic oddities in our HVAC system, and provided support with app controls. I worked with David at VisionAiry Heating and Cooling for the installation of a new heat pump and furnace. The first thing that impressed me about him was the lack of pressure and his high level of honesty. He didn’t try to “sell me” on anything - he was honest about the state of my heating system and answered all of my questions patiently. This all made me feel I could trust him. David was punctual and took the time to explain what was needed, how he would do it and was such a joy to work with! He had to make multiple trips out to my place as we uncovered other electrical things that needed to be fixed first and he was always kind and brought a good energy to the situation when I was feeling stressed. I've told all my Minneapolis friends and neighbors that if they need a bathroom fan or stove vent properly vented that they HAVE to work with David. I'll continue to sing his praises haha 🙂

With boiler heating and no duct work in our house we have been looking to get a mini split system installed to provide some AC. We had it quoted from numerous companies big and small but the price always was too steep. After contacting David and having many back and forth emails as well as him visiting our house the final quote was the most competitive. It is one thing to know what you are doing but it is another to actually care about what you are doing and David has both. From first contact to the finished job David was forthright and honest on everything but also provided a high level of competency and quality for doing the job.
