ABOUT VISIONAIRY
I’m David Daher — Minneapolis’ Mitsubishi Mini Split Specialist Since 2014
I’ve been installing Mitsubishi systems in Twin Cities homes for over a decade. Before VisionAiry I ran a larger HVAC company, grew it past $2 million in revenue, and sold it in 2020. VisionAiry is intentionally different — I run it myself, take on a limited number of projects each year, and every system I design gets my full attention from first conversation to final commissioning. No subcontractors. No handoffs. If you’re working with VisionAiry, you’re working with me.

MY APPROACH
Why I Do It This Way
I’ve seen what happens when mini split systems get rushed — wrong sizing, sloppy line sets, units that run constantly and never quite hit the right temperature. I got into Mitsubishi specifically because the product is engineered to perform, but only if the installation matches that standard. I do a proper load calculation on every project. I design the system around your home’s actual layout, not a generic template. That takes more time. It costs more. And it’s worth it.
HOW I WORK
I Lead With the Home, Not the Equipment
Most contractors lead with the equipment. I lead with the home. Before I ever spec a system I want to know how the house is laid out, where the problem areas are, how the existing structure is going to affect airflow. The equipment matters — Mitsubishi makes the best product on the market for cold-climate applications like Minneapolis. But the installation is what determines whether it actually performs. That’s where most installs fall short, and that’s where I focus.
SPECIALIZATION
Mitsubishi Electric Systems Installed the Right Way
I’m a Mitsubishi Electric Elite Diamond Contractor — the highest installer designation Mitsubishi offers. That’s not a marketing badge. It means factory training, ongoing certification, and accountability to installation standards most contractors never bother with. It also means I have direct access to Mitsubishi technical support when a complex project needs it. In twelve years of installing these systems I haven’t had a callback I couldn’t resolve.
IN MY OWN WORDS
You Can Hear My Approach Directly
If you want to get a sense of how I think about this work before we ever talk, these conversations are a good starting point. I don’t believe in overselling or pressuring anyone into a system they don’t need. That comes through pretty clearly.

David Daher, owner of VisionAiry Heating and Cooling in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, shares his remarkable transformation from traditional HVAC contractor to 75% heat pump focused business. Starting his journey in the US Navy as a machinist mate, David transitioned into HVAC after tech school, working for someone else for seven years before launching his first company in 2011. After nearly losing everything due to bad hires in 2016, he attended Mike’s training in 2017, which “saved his company.” Within three years, he grew revenue from $600,000 to over $2 million by focusing on ductless heat pumps before selling in 2020. Now running VisionAiry as a one-man operation, David is transitioning to 100% heat pump installations by next year.

The timing was perfect to interview David Daher because, after 20 years in HVAC, he’s on the cusp of launching a brand new heat pump-focused business. With a clear vision and unwavering commitment to achieving it, David doesn’t want just any business—he wants the right one.
